Blackjack Hands

Same as all card games blackjack has its own strategy and tricks. Even the most experienced players do not know all of them. Allow us to introduce you to the basics of blackjack’s strategy.

Soft and Hard

Combinations of cards in this game are called blackjack hands.
Soft and hard hands are first combinations which you need to memories for winning.
Soft hand - is a combination of an ace and other card in total less than 11. Since ace counts like one or eleven at the same time, any combination where ace counts as 11 will be a soft hand.
Hard hand - is a combination without an ace, or a combination with an ace where sum of other cards more than 11.
At the same time you need to remember that each casino has its own policy for dealers at blackjack tables. At some casinos dealer will stand on his soft seventeen, and wait till you bust, but in most casinos dealers will try to take more then 17.

Strategy

The strategy in blackjack is simple, but tricky. Always stand with soft 19 and 20, and try to beat dealers soft 17 or lower.
You can always try to count cards, if you are a genius like the “Rain man” or a math specialist from MIT blackjack team. But it is really hard if you aren’t, and the casino has a shuffling machine with more than eight decks.

Stiff hands

Stiff hands - is one of blackjack hands (combinations). When the dealer has six or even less, stay with your combination (if it is bigger than six) and wait for the dealer to bust, but if the dealer has more than six - pick more cards and try to beat him/her.

Splitting

The best pair for splitting player’s combination is a pair of aces. Just remember - if you have a pair of aces - split them up, in any other case you will probably have no use of them. After splitting your pair - chances to win are doubled!
If you have11 or less - take a hit! No card in the deck will bust you.
