Mike Aponte is one of the most famous card players, whose skills have came from MIT as he is also a member of former MIT Blackjack Team, which knew how to earn millions at casinos. He was one of the team leaders that figures in blackjack history. MIT story became a plot of famous 21 picture motion where Aponte is a prototype for the main character - Jason Fisher.

The Beginning

Mike Aponte was born in a family of US military man, which was a reason of numerous resettlements until Boston as a final destination where he became a student of MIT. Mike began his activity as a MIT Team's player before it had gained the popularity and actually gained his knowledge from MIT blackjack Team founders. At that time the team was called Strategic Investments and had a legal background. With a lapse of time it transferred into well-known MIT team with the same idea of investors who sponsored young talented counters.

The new MIT team formed in 1994 and gained an overwhelming success due to numerous great winnings at different casinos. There is even a book named 'Bringing Down the House' and TV shows like Breaking Vegas which are telling the story of the team.

Rapidly Moving Events

It is needed to be said that the investors earned huge amounts of money via MIT team, which remained to be successful during next 6 years. Mike was one of 25 players that actually formed the team and held the most responsible positions.

The team tried to avoid the similar mistakes to those which they experienced in time of Strategic Investments. That is why the rules and requirements became stricter and only the most responsible and focused students were selected to play in the team. Then those students went through difficult and fast trainings after what they were allowed to play at casinos. Aponte played an important role in the team. The largest winning of him was $200,000.

The Last Page of the Career

This man was actually writing the history of MIT Blackjack Teams. Since 2000 Aponte is on retirement. Thus, he has played no more but online blackjack only. The other members of the team in the same year have become very recognizable at many casinos and their further business appeared to be impossible.

Aponte has applied his useful skills in different tournaments like WSOP event where he gained $100,000. Now he is a successful teacher for players who want to learn strategies of the game, etc.
