Blackjack Teams
As you have already guessed our site is devoted to significant figures that made their mark on blackjack history and were exceptionally famous and talented people whose venturesomeness, techniques and methods are still admired by millions of gamblers all over the world.
The 'team-up' Reason
The thing is that there were a lot of cases when professional talented players who wanted to earn money at casinos formed an alliance or teamed up with other players that had the same aim. The reason of such unions can be easily explained by human nature: it is for sure much easier to take risk when you not along. However, the teams were also necessary for the special strategy and for the accurate performance at casinos.
This 'Team' stuff was the most typical for numerous MIT students who were able to create their own MIT Blackjack Teams due to their amazing abilities in math, particularly in card counting.
The Most Successful
There was an innumerable quantity of such teams involved in card counting and other gambling methods which had the purpose to beat the system and remain unnoticed. However, not all of them 'completed' the mission and made their plans come true.
Here is the short description of the most brilliant teams which leaders and members now referred to the Blackjack Hall of Fame.
Al Francesco
This famous player was the first who successfully turned the idea of team play into reality in 1971. His own blackjack team consisted from 6 counters and one big player. The most important thing in a team play was to watch and wait (and count during this, of cause) for the time when the situation at the table was advantageous for big wages. Al Francesco Team won millions at casinos all over United States and was really successful until the member who left the team wrote a book on the topic and disclosed all professional secrets.
Ken Uston
Right, the ex-Francesco Team member who wrote the famous book 'The player' was Ken Uston. He also created his own team that actually used all methods he learnt being Francesco's player. Later he was involved in the scandal in Supreme Court concerning treatment of counters by casinos.
Tommy Hyland
This man used to be the leader of the team since his college years. Hyland managed to govern the team that existed the longest time among all other and was the most profitable.
